Pointy Toed Flats

I love sexy heels as much as the next girl, but unfortunately I have weak ankles and knees so me and heels are just not friends. Every once in a while it bums me out until I realize I can still find great shoes that don't look frumpy (and don't leave me in complete agonizing pain).
For work and a night out I love pointy-toed flats.
I'm sitting here anticipating 14" of snow and thought it would be fun to take a look at some shoes for the spring and start making a list of things I want (which in no way means I am able to buy them all, or any of them for that matter).

What I Want Right Now: January 4, 2011

One of my friends does an "I Want Wednesday" post listed with things she wants each week.

I'm scared of the weekly commitment, but I love her idea and I think it would be great to look back throughout the year and see if I still want the things I've listed.

Many times the things I want are out of my price-range, but heck if I still really want something 6 months or a year later...maybe it is worth the investment? Of course not everything I want is materialistic, but you get the gist of what I'm saying, right?

I want this Valentino Pret-a-Porter* Black Lace Cardigan.

Images from RueLa La's Valentino event on January 4, 2011 - Join Rue La La if you haven't already!
It has fleece-wool and cashmere back/sleeves, a sheer lace front and 100% silk belt. It's gorgeous. Oh and look! It's marked down from $2,990 to $699 on Rue La La! And there is one left! In a Large!! If only I had an extra $700 laying around....
Upon further investigation I would need a size XXL in Valentino and maybe that would fit. Thanks high fashion for making us all feel bigger than we already are.
*'Pret-a-porter' means 'ready-to-wear' or 'off-the-rack' and are basically lines designed by couture houses each year for the 'everyday consumer'

I want a Vitamix Blender

I learned about Vitamix while Christmas shopping for my mom. My brother and I knew she wanted to get into healthier eating and were looking into juicers for her. We heard she was really interested in Vitamix, but scoffed at the price $500 price. Then we started looking into all it can do....and we were hooked. We immediately ordered one for mom and now I want my own. I can't describe it, you'll just have to watch the demonstrations online

Traditional juicers suck a lot of the food nutrients out during the juicing process - not a Vitamix! You can easily make green smoothies, make soup (yes the blades spin fast enough and the machine gets hot enough to BOIL soup right in the container!), puree foods, juice whole foods...it's just amazing. Simply amazing.

I want to be home cuddling with my dog. We got in lots of cuddle time last week while I was on vacation and I'm going through withdrawals
