As I grew up my hair would change texture:
- fine and smooth to coarse/pin straight to wavy in random places
- dark brown to almost black to a lighter brown
- thick to thin
Anyway.....
I tend to spend a lot of money on shampoos and other hair products to try and tame the beast. I rarely notice a huge difference, but figure I must be doing something right b/c my hair isn't getting any worse...and it smells good.
Then along come my friends from BzzAgent* offering a campaign on the re-invented Dove hair care products. They tell me the new Dove has advanced technology and breakthrough formulas. Sign me up!!! I love trying new products.
I received a BzzKit in the mail with a full-sized sample of the Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair Conditioner (with patented MICRO MOISTURE Serum and fiber Actives that internally reconstruct hair and prevent split ends and breakage).** Along with a BzzGuide talking about the product benefits and $1 coupons to share with friends (like you!!)

I'm shamed to admit I let this glorious product sit for a little while before trying it. I have this problem where I can't mix brand shampoos and conditioners. It was a big enough step for me to walk away from the salon products, but mixing the Dove conditioner with a salon shampoo? Nope, couldn't do it.
I went to my local pharmacy and they didn't have the Intensive Repair Shampoo. I almost had a mini panic-attack before talking myself into the Damage Therapy Shine Boost Shampoo, and you know what? I'm so glad I did.
I have to say I've been VERY impressed with this shampoo/conditioner. Within a week of using the new Dove products my hair was smoother, shinier and less frizzy. Pinky swear. When I step in the shower to wash my hair, I actually feel as if it has already been conditioned, it's that smooth!
Here's the one negative I have found....these products are not SLS free. My hair already falls out quite frequently, and I have Über dry skin thanks to my thyroid so I can't say with any certainty that SLS contributes to these issues, but it is worth noting for those of you who are conscious of these things.
Of course, this post would really only be worthwhile with pictures of said shiny, smooth, frizz-free hair but ummm...I don't have any so you'll have to take my word for it!
I will send a $1 coupon to the first three people to to email me soxysdiamond {at} gmail {dot} com or leave a comment on this post. Happy shopping!
