Only a week into the "my week in pictures" and I failed the major fail.
I was unofficially trying to take at least one semi-interesting picture a day (most likely on my HTC Eris) and post them in journal form, but two weeks have gone by....
So this post will be seven pictures from the past two weeks :)
I freakin' love Spike.
It's probably not healthy how much I love him.
I think he is the cutest dog in the entire world and I don't fail to tell him that and how much I love him 100x a day.
He is so funny and has the absolute best expressions. It's not often we don't (think) we know what he's feeling. This is obviously "I'm BORED" face!
When we bought our house last year, SH said as long as he had a garage I could decorate the inside however I wanted. I didn't really believe him at the time, but he's been pretty good about it!
This picture is one of those things I thought would never fly...a purple 1/2 bath.
I always have to have fresh flowers in there, they make me happy. I mean come on, bathrooms are not the most enjoyable room in the house...but having fresh flowers makes everything better!
I had to take a day off from work to get a physical (woo hoo a new PCP, finally!). The appointment didn't take a long time but it was in the middle of the day and I work far away from home so I had the afternoon to myself.
It was gorgeous out and I thought I'd try to tackle mowing the lawn for the first time this season.
SH left me detailed instructions on how to use the riding mower (you think I'm kidding, but it's 9 pages of instructions complete with pictures and diagrams!)
I think I did a pretty good job! I only got stuck once, hit the fence once and lost the bag once. I can't wait to get rid of the brown spots and have a gorgeous lawn all summer long!
Last week I posted a picture of a Robin in her nest. The nest was in the cherry tree in the left of this picture. Unfortunately, the tree got attacked by some sort of insect and all of the leaves...and the bird....are now gone :( She surely left to have her babies in a tree with more cover. I was so sad when she didn't come back.
Money.
Filthy,
Dirty,
Money.
For some reason I get grossed out when someone hands me such obviously dirty bills. But it's not like I have a lot of it to go around...beggars shouldn't be choosers, right?
Maybe if Franklin was on it, instead of Washington, I wouldn't care so much.
Money has been tight lately. In the last year we've bought a new house, had to buy two cars, pay taxes, buy a new TV, etc etc etc. We're doing really well over-all, it's just frustrating to have to worry about money every single day.
One evening we decided to take Spike for a walk at Slater Memorial Park in Pawtucket.
I've been dying to go there to ride the hand-carved Looff Carousel, which was built in the late 1800s. While that wasn't going to happen on this day, we thought it would be nice to walk around a little bit as sunset neared.
We found a really cool bridge made out of tree trunks and enjoyed a short walk around the park before heading home.
May 5, 2010 (5/5/2010) was Nomar Garciaparra night at Fenway Park.
I was so happy to be there and see Nomar speak to the Fenway Faithful one last time. He never got a proper farewell.
It was a bit disappointing he didn't get a larger ovation than he did (as a matter of fact, some former teammates were on hand and Trot Nixon got the largest ovation BY FAR).
Which picture do you like best?
Which editing was most effective?

Eeek! That picture of Spike is too cute! He's adorable! And yeah it totally looks like he's bored. haha, too funny! Bostons are seriously the best dogs ever! Makes me miss my Boston baby! I wanna go home and see her!
ReplyDeleteI love putting flowers in the bathroom! It's my new thing -- the last three times I've purchased flowers I've put some in our master bathroom ... I really, really hate that the master bathroom has florescent lights so the flowers really cheer me up! And it's so nice to see them while you're getting ready in the morning!
